WINNER: The winner of this contest Tracie Trump who says... "I have been makingthem for years and my favorite add in is fresh chicken breast!" Congratulations, Tracie! I hope you enjoy your prize pack from Betty Crocker & MyBlogSpark!
Obviously, I’ve heard of the Betty Crocker ‘Suddenly Salad” product before, I live in SC, not under a rock! But, although I have heard of it, I have never purchased it. Admittedly I’m not much of a cook. [NOTE: I am trying to make progress in that area- Grilled cheese is my specialty!]
Anywho, a few weeks ago, the folks over at Betty Crocker, through MyBlog Spark, were kind enough to offer me the opportunity to participate in their “Suddenly Delicious” campaign in which, I received a sample of the GREEK Suddenly Salad Pasta, a Pyrex storage container, a Zak! Designs serving bowl and an insulated tote.
Last weekend, my in-laws came over for dinner, so I decided to give the Suddenly Salad a try. Since I was also cooking chicken wings, I needed something that would be very low maintenance.
Well, I can now honestly say that I was missing out by not trying this product before.
I say this for several reasons:
1- It was EASY! Seriously… Boil the water, add the noodles, and let them cook. Drain, rinse and add the seasoning. The End.
2- It was GOOD! My in-laws loved it! I thought it was really good…and I’m not typically one to eat colored noodles. [Nothing against noodles. I don’t tend to eat colored chips either.]
As if these two reason’s aren’t enough, Suddenly Salad comes in a variety of flavors which you can check out here. You’ll find great recipes, including one for Greek Tossed Pasta Salad, using Suddenly Salad Caesar pasta salad mix, and Garden Ranch Pasta Salad, using Suddenly Salad ranch & bacon pasta salad mix. When I made the Greek Pasta Salad, I did add some Parmesan cheese in after mixing it.
Have you ever used any of the Suddenly Salad products? Do you have a special recipe for these products to share? What would be the idea atmosphere to have such a quick, easy and delicious Suddenly Salad product on hand to make?
